Victorian Andirons, White House Collection

According to family records, these andirons were used during the Zachary Taylor administration and are a blend of Chinese and Rococo styles. They descended through the family and in 1962 were described as a recent gift to the White House. They are part of the White House Collection and were photographed by Bates Littlehales in 1962.
